Our kitchen team are recent winners of the presitigious "Catering Team of the Year" awards and the quality of their food has led to a large increase in the number of meals provided each day. As a result, the kitchen staff, led by Mrs Wendy Bishop  (winners of the prestigious "Catering Team of the Year" award) has doubled in the last year, with a huge team providing meals for every primary school in Burnham and Highbridge. Meals are sent out daily to St Joseph's, St John's, Beechfield and Burnham Infant Schools, and the heads of all of those schools have expressed their delight at the quality of the food.

The cost of a school meal is £2.25 a day, i.e £11.25 a week.  This should be paid by Tuesday each week, for the following week.  Children who stay to lunch are not allowed off the school premises at lunchtime unless we have received written authorisation from a parent. As a mid-morning snack, children can purchase a fruit cup - peeled and cut pieces of fresh fruit for 25p - or, by prior arrangement, cartons of milk.  If preferred fresh fruit can be brought in, though other less healthy snacks e.g crisps and sweets, are not permitted.
