The school is built in a ring shape around a central courtyard. We have recently undergone major building works to improve and increase the sizes of each classroom.

St Andrew's School, in Burnham on-Sea, was established in 1856 and is a co-educational day school for pupils aged from seven to eleven. It is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England school, which means that the Church is represented on the Governing Body. We have a close relationship with the parish church of Burnham, which is also dedicated to St Andrew.
The original St Andrew's School occupied a site at the top of College Street on the sea front. The school moved to its present site in 1973 and is now housed in a modern semi-open plan building standing in its own grounds between Dunstan Road and Love Lane

The school grounds are extensive, with a good-sized field, marked for football, athletics and rounders in season.

The school is built in a ring shape around a central courtyard. In addition to the clasrooms there is an ICT suite, a librayr area and a toilet blck. The main hall is used for PE, music and drama as well as for Collective Worship and as a dining area. Off the hall there is a therapy suite including a full access toilet, and there are also storage areas for dining room furniture and PE apparatus. Much of the school has been very recently renovated and facilities as a result have significantly improved at the school over the last couple of years.

There are two playgrounds, one of them marked for netball, and an area with seating for quieter activities. In one corner there is a fenced Conservation Area, and near that corner there is a storage compound for children's bicycles.

Access to the site at the beginning and end of the school day is by the pupil entrance in Love Lane or by the main entrance in Dunstan Road. Please note that, for security reasons, the Love Lane gate is kept locked during the day.
